Thailand: High-speed airport rail in EEC moving along

• The high-speed rail project linking Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang and U-tapao airports is moving ahead, with the environmental impact assessment (EIA) scheduled to go before the National Environmental Policy Committee for approval on 24 Jun 19.
• The EIA for the THB 225bn high-speed rail project linking the three airports passed vetting by the subcommittee on the environment on 7 Jun 19.
• The State Railway of Thailand is expected to sign a contract with the winning consortium led by Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group in early Jul 19.
