Thailand: Cabinet approves additional stimulus, targets 3% growth

• The cabinet on 22 Oct 19 approved an additional stimulus package valued at THB5.8bn and expects the economy to grow close to its target of 3%, finance minister Uttama Savanayana said, as it seeks to shore up a flagging economy.
• The additional package comes months after the government rolled out a THB316bn stimulus programme.
• The measures announced include a THB2bn consumption promotion programme, reduction of real estate transfer fees worth THB2.6bn and low-interest loans from the Government Housing Bank, valued at THB1.2bn, Mr Uttama said.
