Malaysia: Conference of Rulers meeting postponed to 27 Oct 21

• A MEETING of the Conference of Rulers scheduled for 1 Jul 21 has been postponed to 27 Oct 21. According to the Office of the Keepers of the Rulers’ Seal website, the rulers will meet with the menteris besar and chief ministers on 25 Oct 21. A pre-council meeting will be held on 26 Oct 21 before the Conference of Rulers meet.
• The Malay rulers last convened on 16 Jun 21 for a special meeting to discuss the national response to Covid-19 and the emergency which is set to end on 1 Aug 21.
• Prior to that, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong met with political leaders to hear their views on a slew of issues facing the country.
