  • The Finance Ministry collected IDR994.36tr in state revenue and grants up to 1H18, from the 2018 projection of IDR1.89qd. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that IDR991.1tr came from domestic revenue (taxes and other income) while another IDR3.3tr was grants from foreign countries.
  • The total revenue and grant achievement were higher than what was achieved in 1H17 which was IDR853.8tr or 49.18% of the 2018 target. Revenue had grown by 16.5% and Sri Mulyani said that the contribution of taxes to state revenue was recorded at IDR780.5tr, or 42.21% of the 2018 target.
  • Meanwhile, the realization of non-tax revenue reached IDR221tr up to Jul 18, from IDR275tr of the 2018 target, she said, adding that the increase of oil and coal prices had contributed to the increase in non-tax revenue. The average oil price in Jul 18 was USD70.68, with the average oil price in 1H18 was USD67.14 compared to the state budget projection of USD48.
  • Meanwhile, spending in the state budget reached IDR1.15qd or 51.6% of the 2018 spending projection. This consists of IDR697.02tr of central government spending and IDR448.64 of transfer to the regional administrations.
  • In addition, the Finance Ministry said the government recorded IDR4.25qd of government debt in Jul 18, slightly higher than in Jun 18. This was equivalent to 29.74% of GDP, lower than 29.79% in Jun 18.
  • The realization of debt financing in Jul 18 reached IDR205.6tr, or 51.5% of the target in the state budget, which was set at IDR399.2tr.
  • Up to Jul 18, the government’s debt paper (SBN) issuance had reached 61.3% of the target in the state budget, with a total value of IDR221.9tr. This is compared to IDR312.5tr from SBN issuance in 2016 and IDR307.6tr in 2017, in line with the government’s program to reduce government debt, manage cash-flow and control financial market volatility.
